The Starlite Singers, based in Highcliffe,
are a group of ladies who sing to raise money
for the Macmillan Cancer Trust, Christchurch.
Their repertoire includes light popular music
and songs from the shows, and over a period
of four years they have been able to donate
a substantial amount to the Trust.
The donations have been raised through the
generosity of the many audiences to which
they sing. They meet for rehearsal on a weekly
basis when they combine serious practice
with a friendly atmosphere.

ladies group please contact Glenys Richards

A Busy 2006
2006 has been busier than ever for the Singers, and by the end of the year
they will have completed over 40 engagements.
At their annual concert held at Mudeford Wood Community Centre in July, they presented a cheque for £5,000 to The MacMillan Cancer Trust Christchurch, exceeding even last year's amazing £4,500.
The ladies work hard throughout the year singing at many local venues in return for donations to their single nominated charity. Their annual concert is a “thank you” to all those people who have supported them so generously during the year, and as always, was very well attended by a very receptive audience.
